Job Profile
DFI Piling Inc. is seeking a driven and experienced Regional Manager to lead our newly established North Dakota branch. This individual will be responsible for building and managing all aspects of the Williston operation with a dual focus on sales growth and operational execution. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations, the Regional Manager will act as the senior leader for the Northern Region, overseeing regional sales, client relations, project execution, P&L management, and safety compliance.
This role is ideal for a self-starter with deep roots in civil construction or piling, who thrives on regional growth, cross-functional leadership, and developing strong operational teams. The successful candidate will serve as the face of DFI in the region and play a critical role in scaling revenue, ensuring project delivery, and reinforcing our core values.

Job Duties
- Oversee all day-to-day operations including shop activity, equipment scheduling, inventory management, safety, sales, and field projects.
- Ensure safe, efficient, and profitable project execution across all field activities.
- Forecast and manage resource needs—staffing, equipment, and materials—to align with project schedules and business growth.
- Maintain and review P&L, labor budgets, and revenue targets. Take corrective action to ensure financial accountability and margin preservation.
- Partner with the steel supply team and other regional managers to manage material flow, pipe inventory, and equipment deployment across jobs.
- Ensure field performance meets or exceeds KPIs related to safety, productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead regional sales efforts by identifying, pursuing, and securing projects in the energy, utility, industrial, and civil sectors.
- Manage client relationships, conduct site visits, and represent DFI at industry events, tradeshows, and local associations.
- Drive market analysis and regional intelligence gathering to inform strategic decisions and identify key growth opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships and negotiate Master Service Agreements (MSAs) to support long-term revenue growth.
- Collaborate with estimating and technical sales teams to produce timely, competitive bids.
- Monitor quote-to-close ratios and align regional sales efforts with corporate revenue targets.
- Build and lead a high-performing regional team, including field personnel, site supervisors, operators, and administrative support.
- Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of all Northern region staff.
- Foster a safety-first culture, actively reinforcing and enforcing company HSE policies and site compliance.
- Serve as the main escalation point for customer service concerns, personnel issues, or project delays within the region.
- Implement and oversee corporate safety programs on-site and ensure compliance with all legal and company-mandated safety procedures.
- Coordinate all project documentation and ensure timely completion of field tickets, safety paperwork, and job closeout reports.
- Approve vendor invoices, rental costs, and regional expenses to ensure alignment with budgeted targets.
- Participate in strategic planning, quarterly reviews, and annual forecasting with executive leadership.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of construction or civil infrastructure experience, with 5+ years in a management or regional leadership role. Deep foundations and oil, gas, and chemical industry experience preferred.
- Proven track record in sales and business development in piling, civil, or industrial construction markets.
- A proactive results-orientated self-starter with a "hunter" mentality, superior organizational and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong initiative, planning, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team on company initiatives to drive results.
- Promotes company and embody corporate values and ethics in all interactions within personal and professional environment.
- Have and maintain a current understanding of engineering and construction contract models.
- Good working knowledge of industrial processes and project development lifecycle.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills including presentation skills.
- Ability to travel within the Northern U.S. as required (field visits, client meetings, etc.)..
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
