Job Profile

The Facility Maintenance Lead is to become familiar with all aspects of DFI Western Canadian properties and be responsible for the day to day maintenance and upkeep of the facilities and yards.

Job Duties

Identify and rectify any general maintenance issues on DFI’s properties. This will require some light travel within Alberta, Saskatchewan and Northern BC.

Hands on repairs including heating/cooling/ventilation systems, lighting, painting, drywall, plumbing, door repairs, caulking, etc.

Contractor management – must be comfortable gathering quotes, coordinating repairs and upgrades as needed

Ensure that DFI properties comply with the appropriate codes and requirements including record keeping.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude, skilled at simple to medium building repairs

Plumbing or Carpentry tickets are considered an asset

Experience in building operations systems: HVAC, Electrical, Controls, Fire Alarm Systems, etc.

Physically fit, ability to lift, carry or move heavy items.

Basic Microsoft Office and Excel knowledge

Experience in operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders and etc.) an asset.

Must have own vehicle and valid class 5 driver’s license.

Skilled with the operation and safe use of basic hand and power tools.

Available for emergency “on-call” duty and shift work as scheduled.
