Job Profile

Hydrovac Operators conduct hydro excavation projects including; utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching, and digging. The right person for this role will be willing to lend a hand when not operating the Hydrovac, including rigging for piling units and drills.

Job Duties

  • Operate trucks in a safe and professional manner
  • Train and mentor Hydrovac Riggers to foster employee skill development
  • Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for hydrovac operations
  • Coordinate on-site activities with outside contacts/clients when required
  • Complete all required paperwork within set time lines
  • Perform pre and post-trip inspections, as well as routine maintenance on equipment

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating a Hydrovac, minimum 1 year
  • Abilty to operate a skid steer
  • Clean class 3 driver’s license, an asset
  • Field safety tickets including; First Aid, H2S, CSTS, Fall Protection, and Ground Disturbance an asset
  • Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs, with availability to work out of town
