Job Profile

Provide support, configuration, and reliable operation of DFI’s computer systems. The Jr. System Administrator ensures that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers he or she manages meet the needs of our users across all departments.

Job Duties

  • Provide helpdesk/desktop support for over 250 users across 10 branch locations, and in the field.
  • Troubleshoot issues and outages while supporting all business requests/incidents via help desk ticket system.
  • Managing the organization’s desktop and laptop hardware, software applications and print/scan management.
  • Supporting end user accounts via Active Directory, Office 365, and all business applications.
  • Assist in facilitating repairs and management for mobile devices.
  • Monitor and maintain network performance across all business sites.
  • Provide routine updates and patches for all systems with new releases and models.
  • Support and troubleshoot phone PBX system and building access security administration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • A combination of work experience and formal education will be considered.
  • General knowledge and training in all aspects of operational IT systems and technologies.
  • Experience with Windows Server, Exchange Online, Citrix and VMWare would be considered an asset.
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Administrator, System Administrator, or similar role.
  • Ability to work both with minimal supervision and in a team.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly adaptable to new systems and technologies
  • Solid written and oral communication skills supporting comprehensive documentation of procedures for operations and support staff.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring all issues & details are accurately captured in our help desk ticketing system.
  • Proactive and creative in identifying and addressing pain points through documentation, automation, scripting or redesigning existing infrastructure.
