Job Profile

DFI is currently seeking an experienced Operator to run our Burntable Night shift. We are looking for an ambitious, innovative, and hardworking professional that can complement our exceptional team. DFI is an independently owned and operated company with over 40 years’ experience in Western Canadian oilfield construction. At DFI we design, engineer, manufacture and operate our own line of machinery and equipment— our innovation and motivating culture continues to set us apart from our competitors.

Wage: $30-33/hour

Job Duties

  • Maintain equipment daily
  • Ensure cut quality is maintained
  • Ensure plate is tracked and inventoried
  • Work closely with piling production group and Fabrication to maximize productivity
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair table alongside maintenance staff
  • Take an active role in DFI’s quality, health, safety and environmental programs
  • Experience with Messer table and pronest programing
  • Ordering of plate for projects

Qualifications

  • Have previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Possess a minimum of 1 year burn table operating experience preferred
  • Have ability to use basic tools such as measuring tape, band saw, calipers
  • Be able to read drawings and blueprints
  • Be willing to work straight evenings and weekends
  • Demonstrate high degree of communication skills including the ability to take verbal direction as required
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Welding experience an asset
  • This is an indoor and outdoor position, candidates must be comfortable working outside in cold or inclement
