As a Class 1 Driver with DFI, you will operate in some of the most demanding driving environments across Western Canada. From extreme winter conditions to remote job sites, this role requires skill, focus, and a strong commitment to safety.

Job Duties
- Safely load, transport, and deliver materials to DFI customers and project sites throughout Western Canada.
- Haul various materials including pipe, heavy equipment, and over-dimensional loads.
- Ensure all loads are secured properly and in full compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identifying and addressing any mechanical issues or defects immediately.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logbooks in accordance with transportation regulations.
- Safely chain up and operate in winter and adverse weather conditions.
- Navigate a wide variety of terrain, including highways, mountainous regions, gravel roads, back roads, and remote access routes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers to ensure timely and professional service.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience hauling pipe and/or heavy equipment.
- Experience with over-dimensional loads is considered an asset.
- Field safety tickets including First Aid, H2S, CSTS, Fall Protection, and other industry certifications are considered assets.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel throughout Western Canada as required.
- Comfortable operating in extreme weather and remote environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to maintaining high safety standards.
