Spearheaded by Trevor McGrandle, DFI participated in another Canadian Death Race, at picturesque Grande Cache, Alberta, this past August. As always, we were proud to shine as a sponsor!
Touted as “one of the world’s toughest ultramarathons”, our very own Mark Hassall persevered and completed this challenge as a soloist. His drive inspired our two relay teams, “Strong” and “Steady” to also give it their best. Congratulations to all of the DFI participants (Trevor McGrandle, Chris Strauss, Mark Hassall and Cordell Petrie) and their close friends on finishing. Bringing his youthful energy for the kid’s 5km was Chris’s son, Glenn. A big thanks to our Grande Cache Branch Manager, Kevin Clowater, Mark’s son, Jordan Allanach, and Barry and Marie Strauss for supporting.
We are excited to return for the 2024 event, once again as a sponsor, this time with the newly named “Driven” and “Screwed” relay teams (thanks for the idea, Mark Dyck).
