Our very own GERRY RANKIN, Weyburn Branch Manager, presented Isaiah with a cheque (and some DFI swag too) in late October with the hopes of making his life both a little easier and FUN. Isaiah has put the funds towards an iPad, medical travel expenses and a future trip to the Calgary Zoo.
Money was raised at the Saskatchewan Oil & Gas Show Golf Tournament. Gerry came up with a fun “Kiddie Pool Chip Contest” for DFI Piling‘s hole. Anyone that donated, got 3 balls and the chance to chip each of them into the pool. For each ball that went in, an entry was given for a chance to win a DFI-branded custom outdoor firepit.
Thank you to everyone that participated, we raised $2,800, which Mark Dyck, DFI COO, gladly matched for a grand total of $5,600!
“I’m so happy that we could help a youth who has the most amazing attitude toward life despite his struggle. He’s now telling all his classmates that he wants to be a DFI Crane Operator and that he works for me! The feedback has been amazing… in addition to people just saying thanks, I’ve gotten calls from guys booking Hydro-vacs and consultants asking for a piling RFQ. It sure does show that being a supporter of your community goes a long way.”
