Job Profile
Our Fabrication Welders are responsible for the fabrication and maintenance of DFI’s custom designed Trailers, cranes, piling and industrial equipment, and ERW pipe mill.
Job Duties
- Fabricate and maintain piling and industrial equipment including DFI’s ERW pipe mill
- Read and interpret drawing.
- To Fabricate all Highway trailers such as Hi-boys, Low boys, wheelers etc.
- Operate shop equipment such as; bandsaws, overhead cranes, forklifts, hydraulic presses, oxyfuel and plasma cutting tools, and drill presses
- Work closely with the mechanical engineering, machining, and fleet service divisions
- Operate safely, in compliance with the DFI HSE program
Qualifications
- Journeyman Welder certification
- At least 4 years’ experience in trailer fabrication
- Experience in structural steel fabrication including metal core, flux core, and mig welding
- Experience with high tensile steel is an asset
- Strong attention to detail
- Flexible work schedule to accommodate production needs
