Job Profile

The HSE/Training Administrator is a blended role, performing duties that support the organizations training needs and the administration of the HSE management system. Key functions relating to training include the development, booking, tracking, and managing of employee training. Key functions relating to HSE include managing third party contractor systems, performance tracking and reporting, organizing meetings, developing communications, and other duties which require a high degree of detail.

Job Duties

  • Schedule and coordinate new hire onboarding training, including internal and 3rd party programs
  • Accurate and timely electronic uploading and filing of completed training certifications
  • Work closely with logistics, field trainers, HR, and applicable hiring managers throughout the employee onboarding experience to ensure information is provided to applicable stakeholders
  • Schedule requested on-going safety training programs for existing employees
  • Update existing training to incorporate new trends, best practices, and or legislative requirements
  • Create new training guides and quizzes as required
  • Actively monitor training compliance and work with organizational leaders to address gaps
  • Maintain a list of preferred vendors meeting DFI training standards
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts in the creation of training programs
  • Manage third party contractor management systems (i.e., ISNetworld, ComplyWorks, Avetta)
  • Manage document control requirements for HSE related material
  • Complete HSE component of the contractor approval process and maintain a listing of approval status
  • Participate in and track office related safety activities
  • Administer SDS management system
  • Input required data into the HSE software system
  • Maintain, analyze, and report HSE/Fleet Safety related metrics
  • Assist in development and implementation of HSE and Fleet related software/ applications to meet organizational needs
  • Participate in and support health and safety committees
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to accomplish HSE goals and objectives
  • Prepare HSE related communications
  • Assist in preparation of safety related materials for corporate meetings
  • Maintain and distribute various HSE Toolbox resources focused on improving the awareness of employees

Qualifications

  • Experience in the administration of safety or training systems is an asset
  • Health and Safety Administrator certificate is an asset
  • Detail orientated with accurate data entry and analysis skills
  • Effective time management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and mobile applications
  • Strong work ethic, positive, client-focused attitude with professionalism
  • Strong organization, planning and communication skills
