Job Profile

Our Field Service Technicians are responsible for the repair DFI’s private fleet of on and off-road equipment throughout Western Canada. As well as the maintenance of our off-road equipment.

Job Duties

  • Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance at remote customer locations and DFI branch offices
  • Maintain assigned 4x4 3-ton knuckle boom service truck and tools
  • Work overtime when required; Field repairs may require multiple days away from home
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Take an active role in DFI’s quality, health, safety and environmental programs

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (Journeyman Off highway or experienced apprentices will be considered)
  • Excellent communication skills are required, respectful and positive interactions with customers are expected
  • Solid work ethic, must be able to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Must supply own basic hand and air tools
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion, including overnight travel/camp situations
  • Class 3 driver’s license with satisfactory driver’s abstract
