Job Profile

The Branch Manager oversees all functions of the local business unit, including aspects of operations, administration, and business development opportunities. Responsibilities include promoting and actively reinforcing company policies and procedures designed to keep the branch operations and personnel safe, efficient, and profitable. The ideal candidate will have strong local knowledge of industry within the Red Deer and surrounding areas and will possess a combination of strong analytical and communication skills along with natural leadership qualities.

Job Duties

  • Ensure effective branch project management oversight
  • Forecast manpower and equipment for area of influence
  • Create and manage branch budgets
  • Ensure workforce is trained and executing duties in alignment with company policies and procedures
  • Act with the highest degree of ethics and moral responsibility
  • Responsible for the hiring and professional development of all direct reports in collaboration with HR
  • Resolve disputes
  • Review income statements for trends and areas of improvement
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive growth of the branch
  • Foster proactive safety culture by leading by example
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
  • Oversee logistics planning and resources
  • Ensure all federal and provincial regulations and legislation are followed
  • Actively promote and grow the DFI brand within the community and local industries

Qualifications

  • Oilfield Industrial and/or Commercial Foundation Construction and/or Hydrovac experience is considered and asset
  • Experience with Commercial Transportation and/or Logistic Management is an asset
  • Intermediate user of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Certificate/Bachelors degree in BA or Commerce or 10+ years work experience including 5 years management/business development experience
  • Preferably an established local resident of Red Deer or surrounding areas
  • 3+ years Outside Sales Experience
